Although the business proposition here is not in as heavily established a space as financial services or insurance, clearly the almost monopolistic nature of mobile app distribution is hugely burdensome for developers. The enthusiasm demonstrated by the investor panel is testament to the opportunities that exist in creating a more streamlined value chain.
